The new Addonics
Technologies PocketCD98 is the
"go anywhere" CD-ROM Drive that
connects to any PC through the PCMCIA(PC
Card) slot. It's compact enough for any
briefcase or notebook PC case - measuring
only 6.4 x 5.4 x 0.9 inches and weighing
just 14 ounces. The pocketCD98 can be
powered off your PC(through the
PCMCIA slot or keyboard port) or off the
included AC Power Adapter. The Power
Adapter is extremely small and
lightweight and automatically switches
from 110 to 240 volt operations, making
the PocketCD98 the perfect traveling
companion.
The PocketCD98 has a fast
maximum data transfer rate of 3600 Kbytes
per second (24x version) or 3000 Kbytes
per second (20x version). It boasts an
access time of 190 ms and utilizes 16-bit
data transfers. It has a front
panel-loading tray for easy access with
no bulky cartridges or caddies to worry
about.
The drive
is the perfect accessory for the mobile
professional who needs constant access to
their CD-ROM based information anytime,
anywhere.Compact, lightweight, portable,
